Autumn 2011 Update

Board Election Results Are In

Thank you to all members who voted in the 2011 Board of Directors election. As of November 1, 2011, NAMA Board Members will include: Dhaval Dhru, MD; Hilary Garivaltis; Suhas Kshirsagar, BAMS, M.D. (Ayurveda); Sharada (Anne) Meneghetti, MD; and Hema Patankar. The new Board Members Elect will begin attending Board meetings as of September, following a formal orientation process. All those elected will begin their new term with full participation in Board Member duties as of November 1st, 2011.

Future Elections

If you have ever considered candidacy for serving on the Board, it is not too early to start thinking about the 2012 election. As our Association grows and expands its work, Members skilled in areas such as management, project development, legal and political action, etc. can be tremendous assets. To be eligible as a Board candidate, a Member must be involved on one of NAMA's active Committees. This supports the growth of the organization and gives potential Board Members a strong understanding of what NAMA is all about.
