Board of Directors Election Update July 2011

This year, one additional Director will be elected for a one-year term due to appointments made during the past year to fill seats vacated by resignations. Our Associations’ members have the opportunity to nominate and elect the Board of Directors. Election ballots will be mailed to members this summer. If your membership will expire before May 30, 2011, please be sure to renew promptly so you will be eligible to vote. We rely on you to update us with your current mailing address; contact the NAMA administrator to update your contact information.

Board of Directors Election Update August 2011

Our 2011 NAMA Board of Directors election is well underway. The next step of the process is the ballot count. Return addresses on the envelopes of submitted ballots will be confirmed against the active Membership list as of May 31, 2011 (date of eligibility to vote). This allows us to meet the requirements of our By-laws that a quorum of voters is established. Ballots will then be removed and separated from the envelopes. Once confirmed, the anonymous ballots will be counted and the results calculated. The count is scheduled to take place in early August, with the results reported to the current Board at the August Board meeting. The Board validates the election, and then the results will be released to the Membership.

Board Members Elect will be invited to begin attending the regularly scheduled Board meetings and the Board retreat as guests. This provides an opportunity for the newly elected Board Members to become fully informed on all matters being considered and acted upon by the Board. The newly constituted Board is officially seated as of November 1, 2011.
